Welcome to the new look Association of Queensland Nurse Leaders Website.

This new homepage is part of the Executive Committee's plan to take current and future nurse leaders to the next chapter of this organisation, and reflect on the original intent of the Association, 'to discuss mutual problems and to keep abreast of modern methods'. Some of these problems are as relevant today as they were at the inception of the Association over 50 years ago.

AQNL is committed to providing leadership to the profession in the pursuit of excellence in healthcare, in a dynamic and complex environment. Our objectives are:

• Provision of professional development activities for the members
• Provision of a forum to influence health policy
• Enhancement of the professional status of nursing
• Facilitation of professional development, support and communication network
